Summary
The Project Analyst Level II is the Intermediary Level position that provides analytical support within the MTA Construction & Development Project Development Group.
MTA C&D Development plays a pivotal role in determining what, when, and how the MTA builds – prioritizing capital investments, evaluating project scopes, establishing the project and program budgets, maximizing external funding opportunities, monitoring and reporting on Capital Program performance.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary by assignment.
Typical duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Assist in developing, preparing, and updating analytical reports, spreadsheets, and databases.
Support data-gathering, reviewing, and updating information and documentation in project management systems.
Provide analytical support for developing research, studies, analyses, and presentations related to capital projects.
Monitor the evolution of project scopes and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
Evaluate planned capital projects, and unfunded capital needs to take advantage of budget and/or funding opportunities and construction efficiencies.
Assist with changes to and rebalancing of the Capital Program to accommodate new project needs.
Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses of capital program performance, evaluate progress vs budget, schedule, and other corporate goals and objectives.
May handle confidential and sensitive information related to capital projects and operations.
Ensure effective communication and function as a liaison with employees at all levels within the department and with other C&D units, as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Urban Planning, Public Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, Architecture, Mathematics, or a related field.
Must have a minimum of one (1) year of related experience.
