 **THIS POSITION WILL BE OPEN TO ALL EMPLOYEES CURRENTLY SERVING AS A STATION SUPERVISOR LEVEL I**

 Under the direction of the Superintendent, the selected candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, making timely notifications of emergency/ non-emergency station conditions to appropriate responders, receiving and transmitting said incidents over the SixWire. Reports timely updates to Management/on-duty Superintendent, District Offices, and other stakeholders verbally, via computer, or by telephone. Performs SixWire related functions such as, but not limited to, updating databases and logs, reviewing, and completing pertinent paperwork and reports for timely submission. During breaks/lunch, the selected candidate will ensure SixWire tasks are handled.  As necessary, assists Superintendents to compile pertinent information relevant to other departments/divisions, District Offices, and stakeholders. Works as assigned.


Eligibility
Station Supervisors with at least one (1) year in title.

Education and Experience

Possess a thorough knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access). Excellent field operation, safety, and attendance record. Thorough knowledge of the ability to effectively apply NYC Transit rules, safety regulations, and operating procedures.

Selection Method
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience and interview.

All appointments, with the exception of Department of Subways’ employees on MaBSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
