This position is eligible for telework which is currently one day per week. New hires are eligible to apply 30 days after their effective date of hire.
COMPENSATION
Earnings Potential: $62,825 - $82,458
Hay Points: 323
Overtime Eligibility: Not eligible for paid overtime in accordance with FLSA
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Account Administrator will be responsible for researching and resolving customer issues that are escalated to MTA for resolution and settlement. Customer escalations come through various channels including MTA Headquarters, MTA President's Office, MTA Law Department, MTA Public Affairs, Offices of Elected Officials, including the Governor's Office, the Attorney General and the District Attorney.
The candidate will be required to learn:
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent in experience) with a preferred concentration in Business, Finance or related field
Two (2) years of professional data investigation / analysis experience required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Proficiency with numbers and the ability to calculate current balances and settlements using a matrix.
Strong research skills to investigate customer issues, deduce the root cause, and decide on the best resolution.
Strong written and oral communication skills to professionally address diverse audiences and clearly convey account research findings.
Ability to prepare comprehensive written responses and handle customer inquiries directly.
Strong decision-making and deduction skills to identify when customer escalations indicate broader system or procedural issues.
Proficient reading comprehension for analyzing customer claims and related information.
