In order to protect our employees and continue to provide safe and reliable service to our communities, as of November 14, 2021, we are requiring all new MTA hires to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their start date.  MTA will consider exceptions for religious and medical reasons, where appropriate.  “Fully vaccinated” means you must have both doses of a 2-dose vaccine and two weeks have elapsed since the second dose or have received 1 dose of a 1-dose vaccine and two weeks have elapsed since the dose.  Proof of your vaccination status in the form of a CDC vaccine card must be submitted prior to your start date.

Compensation:

Salary Range:

$87,951 - $124,834 (Grade E, 551 Hay points)

Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing all administrative tasks (clinical and operational) and ensure compliance with internal MTA- NYC Transit corporate policies and regulations, as well as matters negotiated through collective bargaining. Manage all administrative activities and process requirements at a Medical Assessment Center (MAC), including enforcement of established procedures to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local mandates covering medical assessments, and drug/alcohol collection and testing.   Work closely with operating supervision and union representation to ensure effective processing of employees for improved employee availability, particularly for public safety titles. Coordinate activities with Deputy Medical Directors and other medical professionals assigned to the MAC, as well as senior Occupational Health Services management. Management import and export of medical information, ensure confidentiality, and secure storage.

Education and Experience:

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college with a major in accounting, business administration, or a related field, and a minimum 10 (ten) years of related experience, including 5 (five) years of managerial /supervisory or administrative capacity experience; or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in the Medical Administration field is a plus
