Responsibilities:
The selected candidates responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: coordinating General Orders; removing and restoring power during emergencies; coordinating with Con Edison's District Operators for scheduled and unscheduled high tension outages. Ensures the seamless delivery of signal power; utilizing the frequency converters to supply 25 cycle feed to the IRT & BMT signals. Responsibilities also include; the management, tracking and implementation of the comprehensive Power Substation Maintenance program, as well as to ensure the delivery of safe and reliable third rail traction power with the primary goal to ensure that the contact rail remains energized. The selected candidate will prepare paper and electronic written reports detailing emergency, operating, maintenance or any other conditions affecting all NYCT activities for senior management review.
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma and five (5) years of full-time related experience of which two (2) years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity; OR
A satisfactory equivalent of education and/or experience.

All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
