COMPENSATION
Salary Range: Min. $109,876 - Max. $155,953/ Grade B
Compression Rate: $144,650
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, overseeing managerial and supervisory staff engaged in the creation and implementation of predictive maintenance strategies and the execution of special projects along the right of way. The incumbent will oversee the administration of capital/operating projects while directing. They will coordinate communication amongst field personnel and distribute information/directives on the behalf of the Assistant Chief Officer, MOW Planning & Special Projects. The incumbent will notify/update MOW execute staff on significant events regarding MOW special projects and will ensure employees receive required training. The incumbent must attend conferences and research new tools/materials for MOW. The incumbent may have to work different tours and/or holidays. In addition, incumbent must be able to report to emergencies and service disruptions 24/7/365.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Baccalaureate preferred in Transportation Management or a satisfactory equivalent. 8 years of total experiences; 6 years of managerial/supervisory experience.
DESIRED SKILLS (includes but not limited to):
- Knowledge of Transit operations with respect to trades that relate to Third Rail system maintenance, track and infrastructure maintenance and construction, railroad industry safety standards, material procurement and labor contracts.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment, maintenance and project management.
- Knowledge of procurement procedures, safety rules and labor contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to apply interpersonal skills.
- Ability to schedule track outages (GO’s) with work train usage and power removal.
- Capability of estimating with respect to manpower and material support of operating capital work and providing required tooling and equipment.
- Knowledge of all safety rules and work practices.
