Compensation
Salary Range (Grade F): $81,780-$116,074
Responsibilities
The incumbent will manage the process of scoping and estimating Mainline and Yard Track & Switch reconstruction projects, totaling approximately $400M annually, as part of the multi-year Track Capital program. Liaise with Track Construction, Track Maintenance, Track Access and Engineering divisions to evaluate track conditions and recommend necessary construction or remediation work. Create/maintain database of track scope findings to supplement quadrennial condition surveys. Develop and establish annual goals, material forecasts and labor costs. Adjust divisional goals and reconcile discrepancies between forecasts and actual program expenditures. Scope and prepare estimates for track work performed by the Division of Track under MTA C&D contracts. Incumbent must be prepared to respond to emergencies and other critical occurrences as required, on a 24/7 basis.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering: and eight (8) years of full time related experience, and four (4) years of supervisory experience., or a satisfactory equivalent in education or experience.
Desired Skills
Comprehensive knowledge of track construction and maintenance methods for rapid transit track, contact rail and switches, budget allocation and financial analysis.
Strong analytical/technical background, including experience with databases, spreadsheets, Memoranda of Understanding, and Scopes of Work.
Proficiency with applications such as Tunnel View and Track Geometry Car videos.
Extensive track project-related experience is highly desirable.
