This position is open to all current Maintenance Supervisor I and Maintenance Supervisor IIs (Telephones)

Responsibility:
 
The incumbent will oversee Level 1 Maintenance Supervisors within the Electronic Maintenance Division - Customer Communication Systems (CCS) to ensure daily safe and efficient operations. The incumbent must be able to work flexible hours. The position will also require the candidate to work as an incident coordinator when scheduled.
The incumbent will supervise and maintain NYCT subway Public Address systems, Customer Information Screens (CIS), Help Points, and other Telecommunication Field Applications and coordinate the daily workflow between MTA agencies.
The incumbent must know the signal flow of audio within a PA system and each component. They will compile and analyze records, prepare reports, conduct field investigations, inspect, install, and collect data. They must be familiar with the EMD communication Systems, maintenance policies, and procedures, including PACIS, Beacon, HPI, Fiber-Optic, SONET, PSLAN, Fire Alarm CCTV, EA Radio, and PBX systems.

II Salary Range:

1st Year      $112,448
2nd Year     $114,057
3rd Year      $118,067

Education and Experience:

Open to all current Maintenance Supervisor (Telephone) employees.   

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with NYCT Public Address systems, Help Point Interfaces, and customer information screens.
  • Knowledge of NYCT policies and procedures, including safety regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Remedies.
  • Experience working with a diverse staff.
  • Proficient in written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
