Responsibilities
- Ensures unsafe conditions in employee facilities are corrected. This task requires understanding of operations and the configuration of DOS/Service Delivery facilities and their needs.
- WQ96 Qualification is required for annual fire extinguisher inspections.
- Completes the annual inspections of the fire extinguishers allocated to all DOS/Service Delivery facilities and/or room enclosures.
- Performs Fire Drills and Safety Field Inspections.
- Oversees the related field data collection and installation of signs.
- Inspects the physical structures of over 850 DOS/Service Delivery Room Enclosures and Conditions as mandated by the Structural l Inspection P/I VII.E.1 and per P/I XV.E (Excluding Manholes or Emergency Exits).
- Records all defects of room enclosures and the conditions.
- Reports all structural defects to MOW Engineering to ensure they are corrected in a timely manner.
- Generates and maintains databases for the Structural/Fire Extinguishers’ inspections, Bergen Street Shop, and Signage Department requests.
- Schedules and attends Joint Union Management Facility Inspection Field Meetings.
- Schedules required certification training for Service Delivery.

Education and Experience
Position is open to current MTA/NYCT Train Service Supervisors.

Based on evaluation of education, skills. experience and interview.
All appointments. with the exception of Department of Subways employees on MaBSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
