Compensation:
Salary Range- $155,654 - $220-928 (Hay Point 1510)
Responsibilities:
The selected incumbent will provide executive direction of all technical and engineering services including Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical engineers, as well as architectural and communication units, and hourly inspection forces, in support of MOW. Responsible for overseeing the design, inspection and coordination of repair/rehab modification and expansion of all right-of-way and DOS facilities and systems. In addition to responsibilities concerning Track, Infra & Signals, this position has assumed responsibility for engineering and technical support for copper and fiber telecommunications, radio frequency communications and for DOS CBTC systems, including New Technology train control systems. Manages the preparation of specifications/drawings for contracts providing maintenance, service and/or construction for track, signals, power & communication systems, facilities and infrastructure. The incumbent is also responsible for the Office Planning group
Education and Experience:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering, and 15 years of full-time related experience, of which 10 years must have been in managerial/supervisory/administrative capacity; Or A satisfactory combination of education and experience. However, all applicants must possess a valid New York State Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Desired Skills:
- A graduate degree in transportation, engineering, business management, public policy or a comparable discipline is desirable.
- Extensive experience in strategic planning, transportation planning, or project management.
- Experience in the design, construction, maintenance of Railroad Signal System, Track or Railway structures.
- Strong knowledge of Subways and MOW policies, procedures and operations.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MaBSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
