Compensation
Salary Range- $62,498-$65,820
Responsibilities
- Assist in structural inspections and giving technical guidance to a small team of structural maintainers for Elevated, Viaduct, and Underground NYCT structures.
- Track and manage EAM structural inspections and nonconformity database and provide clear and concise structural evaluation reports to management.
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and technical reports for In-House projects.
- Support preparing project profiles, and cost estimates, analyzing defect data and inspection schedules.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and field investigations to gather data and ensure the repair scope for Capital Projects.
- Assist in reviewing designs and specifications and performing punch list inspections for Capital Contracts to ensure that all project activities comply with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
- Collaborate with other engineers, architects, contractors, and stakeholders.
Education and Experience
Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration; or
2. A master’s degree in architecture that is the first professional degree in architecture from an accredited college or university.
Desired Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to read and understand technical drawings. Knowledge of PC applications and CADD related to construction and design including MicroStation.
Knowledge and/or experience in Railway Track Designing
