COMPENSATION:  
Assistant. Director, Station Signage:  
Salary Range $87,951 - $139,020
(Grade E) 

Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting the Director and maintaining a comprehensive signage program that will enable customers to successfully navigate the subway system. Coordinates signage activity within NYC transit and with other MTA agencies; responds to service changes; MTA signage initiatives; customer complaints/suggestions and emergency situations. Supervises the implementation of ADA signage in coordination with ADA guidelines; oversees the design, procurement, and installation of in-house signage and capital construction signage for C&D and MTACC projects.
Assists with the management of staff and vendors in the fabrication and installation of over 200,000 signs and decals annually. The incumbent will also establish priorities and work schedules in order to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget parameters. Assists with the management of operating and overtime budgets. Serves in an acting capacity in the absence of the Director of Signage.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and eight (8) years of full-time related experience, of which four (4) years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity; or 
A satisfactory combination of education and experience. 
DESIRED SKILLS:  
  • Strong knowledge of MTA NYCT rules and regulations. 
  • Detailed knowledge of NYCT Signage Standards 
  • Strong Station Operations and Station Maintenance experience. 
  • Knowledge of Infor EAM Software 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and solve complex problems
