Salary Range:  $87,951- $124, 834 (Grade E, 571 Points)
This position is accountable for supervising and directing the development and preparation of efficient, economical, and reliable bus schedules and work programs for several bus depots. Assists the Deputy Director in the preparation of estimates of financial impact of potential changes in NYCT labor agreements and the development of schedule strategies and applications. Responsible for analysis and evaluation of service levels and running times for all bus routes within one or more operating divisions. Develops and coordinates training programs in the craft of scheduling for Schedules staff personnel.
Seven years of progressively responsible transportation experience, five years of which must have been in the schedule department of a large transit authority or firm, three years of which must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity; or
A bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, mathematics, planning or transportation planning, or their equivalent, and two years supervisory or managerial experience in the schedules department of a large transit authority or firm; or
Education and experience equal to the above
           Excellent oral and written communication skills
           Knowledge in all aspects of bus scheduling with the use of Hastus software
           Knowledge of Destination Sign Code software
           Knowledge of UTS, STIF, GTFS files
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
