COMPENSATION
      

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I- $65,954-$78,079
Assistant Transit Management Analyst II- $76,577-$85,288
Associate Transit Management Analyst-   $86,565-$112,083    


Responsibilities       

 The position will support Power Engineering group that provides technical support for the power operating group who maintain 230 power Substations. Under direction, and with considerable latitude for independent initiatives and judgements the selected candidates will utilize various computer software and Microsoft office components to collect and analyze data, charts, and graphs. Prepare and summarize reports to various aspects of Electrical engineering operations. Review drawings, support testing of substation equipment, Field survey tracks and Side feeders.      

 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE      

 Assistant Transit Management Analyst I & 2

1. Master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public admin.,
public policy, engineering, economics, architecture, math, physics, computer science,
accounting, transportation planning or urban planning and 1 year of satisfactory full-time
professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to
operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and
staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, maps, drawings and
technical reports;
2. Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in business administration, public
administration, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, math,
physics, computer science, accounting or urban planning, and 2 years of satisfactory
full-time professional experience in the areas described in "1" above.

Associate Transit Management Analyst 

1. A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public
administration, public policy, engineering, economics, architecture, mathematics,
physics, computer science, accounting, transportation planning or urban planning and tw
years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and
use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment, and
space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs,
maps, drawings, and technical reports. One year of this experience must have been in the
mass transportation industry; or
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in business administration, public
administration, engineering, engineering technology, economics architecture,
mathematics, physics, computer science, accounting or urban planning, and three years o
satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "1" above. One year of this
experience must have been in the mass transportation industry.      

 
Desired Skills 
      

  • Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office components. 
  • Through knowledge of electrical circuits and reading blueprints. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Preference will be given to PE License holders. 

    

 
SELECTION METHOD      

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.      

All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
