Salary range: $126,204 (min) $179,128 (max) (Executive@ 1040 points)
Responsibilities:
The incumbent's primary responsibilities include but are not limited to; the management and direct oversight of various groups within the Electronics Maintenance Division's Telecommunications sub-division which Tests, Repairs, and Maintains Operational, Life Safety sensitive communications systems; including Emergency Alarms & Telephones along the ROW, Emergency Booth Communications Equipment, Fire Alarms, Help Point Intercoms, Public Address Systems and Customer Information Signs. Responsibilities will also include directing emergency response, short and long term planning strategies, administering operating budgets, training programs and ensuring the highest level of safety of customers and employees.
Education and Experience:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, communications, or a closely related field of study, and twelve (12) years of full-time related experience, of which eight (8) must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity; or
A satisfactory combination of education and experience.
Desired Skills
- Extensive (10 years or more) telecommunications experience in a lead technical and/or managerial role.
- Managerial experience in a 24/7 operating environment is essential.
- Knowledge of NYCT policies and rules.
- Knowledge of NYCT safety and labor union rules.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems and their network infrastructures.
- Experience managing hourly, supervisory, PTE and managerial titles.
