Staff Analyst Trainee I (TA): $46,171 (Min) - $48,938 (Max) (New Hire Rate: $40,149)
Staff Analyst Trainee II (TA): $49,864 (Min) - $55,406 (Max) (New Hire Rate: $43,361)

Responsibilities

Under general direction, the trainee is  responsible for assisting the analyst in performing quantitative analyses of contractors' proposed prices and negotiating prices with contractors. The incumbent will be trained in preparing cost and price analyses; detailed analyses of contractors price and cost proposals. The selected candidate will help formulate negotiation positions; negotiate prices for sole source contracts, contract modifications, construction change orders and other procurement actions; communicates; prepares written narrative summarizing negotiations and corresponding results. Performs other analyses as required.

Education and Experience

Staff Analyst Trainee I
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college.
 
Staff Analyst Trainee II
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and one (1) year of experience as a Staff Analyst Trainee I.


Desired Skills:
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Experience in cost analysis, construction or negotiations is desired but not necessary.
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.

 

Selection Method: 

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
