Compensation:
Salary Range: $64,608 - $68,034
Responsibilities:
TRTS Intern will assist in various stages in the development of the Scheduled Maintenance System (SMS) component plan, develop, maintain and update Bills of Materials to ensure that all engineering modifications are included to support the NYCT Maintenance Program, including SMS, for various revenue and non-revenue car fleets and provide engineering technical support to various shops and departments. The incumbent may assist with the review and research of parts, including field investigation; implement component description changes (form G10, G-11, QPL); update and setup material specification and standards in the NYCT Commodity Management System (CMS). In addition, the incumbent may assist engineering groups, car builders, material inspectors, storeroom personnel, logistics, procurement and manufacturers to help resolve any issues or problems related to parts and contractual delivery, including audits to ensure compliance to contract terms and conditions.
Education and Experience:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major sequence of courses in electrical, mechanical, civil, transportation or computer engineering or electrical/electronic technology.
