Compensation:
Electrical Engineer 1 (TA): $85,147 - $107,227
Electrical Engineer 2 (TA): $101,229 - $122,295
Electrical Engineer 3 (TA): $113,239 - $133,496
Responsibilities:
Under direction with a broad scope for the exercise of independent initiative and judgement will serve as an Engineer in the Work Car Engineering group for the Division of Car Equipment. The incumbent is responsible for the examination of plans for the management, or review, of the design of Work Cars. May also be responsible for the examination of plans, alteration or repair of Work Cars or Work Car components. Will mitigate design issues by working closely with product vendors to realize changes in design necessary to meet the needs of all project stakeholders, including operational and maintenance.
Education and Experience:
A valid New York State Professional Engineer’s License and four years of full‐time
experience in electrical engineering. A master’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college will be accepted as equivalent to one year of the full‐time experience in electrical engineering.
Special Note:
In addition to above qualification requirements, to be eligible for placement in
Assignment Levels II and III, individuals must have at least one year within the last
three years of experience as a major contributor or a project leader on a complex project requiring additional and specific expertise in the disciplines needed to design or construct the project.
