COMPENSATION
Salary Range- $93,473-$132,672 (Grade D)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for directing and overseeing the activities of the New Tech Signal Engineering group. This position will provide designs/support/modifications for Communication Based Train Control (CBTC), Solid State Interlocking (SSI), Automatic Train Supervision (ATS), Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Tek Tracking, and Axle Counter. Incumbent will be directly involved in evaluating new technology signal applications and upgraded equipment for the NYCT signal system program. Incumbent will manage and support all signal software support contracts, distribution tracking systems, and configuration management systems. This position will support field operation and manage the auditing processes for all solid-state signal systems. Incumbent must be prepared to react/respond to emergencies and other critical occurrences as required on a 24/7 basis.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering: and seven (7) years of full time related experience, and four (4) years of supervisory experience., or a satisfactory equivalent in education or experience.
DESIRED SKILLS
Experience in the use of computer-aided design and software tools. Extensive experiences in new technology signal design and train control. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
SELECTION METHOD
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview. All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
