$133,897 to $175,740

Summary    

     

The Senior Director of Quality will lead the MTA C&D quality function to ensure the ongoing development and improvement of the established ISO 9001 registered Quality Management System.     

     

Responsibilities    

     

Serves as the senior Quality Management representative to work with Business Units/Delivery Services for  the effective and timely implementation of quality requirements, processes, and systems to ensure successful execution of the MTA C&D Capital Program, including:    

Develop and approve Consultant and Contractor Quality Programs to meet contractual requirements.    

Ongoing oversight,  reviews, and assessments of Consultant and Contractor implementation of approved Quality Programs.    

Timely submittal, review, and update of required Consultant and Contractor quality documentation.    

Ongoing monitoring and oversight of Contractor execution of required Quality Plan and Inspection & Test activities.    

Effective initiation and implementation of Corrective Action programs to ensure timely resolution of project issues.    

Education, training, and guidance on quality management concepts and techniques to provide awareness and effective implementation of established processes and requirements.    

Works with C&D Corporate Quality personnel to identify and initiate improvements in C&D processes, requirements, and activities to ensure the successful execution of the MTA C&D Capital Program.      

Education and Experience    

     

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Transportation, or a related field.     

     

Must have a minimum of twelve (12) years of related experience.    

     

Must have a minimum of six (6) years in a management or supervisory role and/or project/quality manager role in a large, multi-faceted organization.     

     

Competencies:     

     

Licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect desirable.     

     

CQA/CQE or Exemplar Global Certifications preferred.     

     

Significant experience in developing and implementing Quality Management Systems to meet established organizational goals and processes,  including ISO 9001 Standard requirements    

     

Significant experience in project management for major construction projects or project controls with highly complex systems preferred.    

     

Substantial experience leading and managing contractors, subcontractors, or vendors.     

     

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.    

     

Demonstrated building relationships and working collaboratively with stakeholders at all internal levels within the organization.     

     

Demonstrated ability to work in a high-profile, high-pressure environment effectively.    

     

Must have focus and ability to deliver results, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.     

     

Must be a proven leader as a change agent and creative/innovative thinker with the ability to align business goals with solutions to drive process improvements.    

     

Must possess excellent team-building, listening, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
