Compensation Salary Range: $83,309 - $123,620 (Grade E - 556 hay points)
UTLO compression rate: $122,500
Responsibilities
This position is accountable for the overseeing of preventive maintenance and project management programs for the repair and maintenance of fixed and non-fixed installed equipment at Department of Buses facilities throughout NYC. Directs the projects and emergency support groups. This position is responsible for the effective administration of these programs through both in-house forces and contracts administration resulting in safe and cost-effective facilities. Manage automated Building Monitoring Systems. Directly supervise facilities maintenance functions for specialized i.e. CNG, articulated.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Directly oversee the preventive maintenance program ensuring that proper manpower assignments are established, and quality control guidelines are followed. Reduced equipment downtime and greater life expectancy of equipment will result. Manage automated Building Monitoring Systems. Directly supervise facilities maintenance functions for specialized facilities i.e. CNG, articulated.
Interface with depot management regarding the prioritizing and scheduling of work orders for both planned and special projects. Highest priority is given to safety and service-related projects.
Administer the project management function relative to the execution of operating contracts from the scope development phase through final inspection and acceptance. Direct interface with Capital Engineering personnel regarding scope development of capital contracts and staging of capital work.
Administer labor agreement practices, disciplinary matters and employee development.
Responsible for safety at all locations that he/she is responsible for. Identify unsafe conditions and monitor correction of conditions and violations. Liaison with system Safety and Department Safety Officer
Education and Experience
Six (6) years of satisfactory full-time related professional experience, and at least three (3) years of which must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity.
Satisfactory equivalent of combined education and experience requirements.
