Summary
Assistant Architect Level 1 assists in the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical systems and facilities for MTA C&D.
Responsibilities
This role performs simple routine architecture design tasks with standard techniques.
Assists more senior architects in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods, and reports.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Architecture degree from an NAAB-accredited institution.
Must have a minimum of eighteen (18) months as an Architect Trainee.
Competencies:
Must be capable of working on multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A working knowledge of Federal, State, and local jurisdiction permitting regulations is a plus.
Analytical ability, pro-active attitude, willingness to learn, and an ability to think "outside the box" when required.
A general understanding of current design software and Microsoft Office are required.
