Hours of Work: 9:00am- 5:00pm
Responsibilities
Assist in the development of the financial plan, develop budgets, and projections. Prepare monthly accruals and variance expense analysis and provide summary level explanations.
Analyze expenses for operating budget development, monthly reporting, and ad hoc analytical projects, including estimates. Track general ledger expenses and identify posting errors.
Report daily scheduled Access-A-Ride trips, enter monthly invoices, and provide financial statistics. Assist the Financial Services Officer as needed.

Assoc. Staff Analyst (TA): $83,098 - $107,591 (New Hire Rate: $72,258)
Staff Analyst II (OA): $75,475 - $84,060
Staff Analyst II (TA): $73,510 - $81,871 (New Hire Rate: $63,923)
Staff Analyst I (OA): $65,003 - $76,955
Staff Analyst I (TA): $63,310 - $74,950 (New Hire Rate: $55,049)
Education & Experience
Associate Staff Analyst
1. A Master’s degree from an accredited college with a major in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies or a closely related field, and ONE(1) year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in one or a combination of the following: working with the budget of a large public or private concern in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research; in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; in personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning/evaluation, fiscal management or in a related field; OR
2. A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and THREE (3) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the areas described in 1 above.
Staff Analyst I & Staff Analyst II
1. A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, or urban studies, or a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school; or
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of satisfactory full time professional experience in one or a combination of the following areas: working with the budget of a large public or private concern in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research; in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; in personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, labor relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning/evaluation, or fiscal management; or in a related area; or
3. An associate degree or completion of 60 semester credits from an accredited college or university and four years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "2" above: or
4. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "2" above; or
A combination of education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2", "3", or "4" above. College education may be substituted for professional experience at the rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college or university for one year of experience. However, all candidates must have a high school diploma.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Professional, related, recent experience in positions within budget/accounting/cost control.
· Knowledge of general accounting and financial reporting.
· Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
· Effective business writing skills and effective verbal communication skills.
· Ability to ascertain critical operational and functional issues and prioritize analysis accordingly.
· Ability to seek out, sort and compile data into useful information formats.
· Knowledge of PeopleSoft and or Hyperion Financial Management System
