Coin Retriever Technician Salary Range: $58,930 - $84,184
Responsibilities:
This position encompasses installation, inspection, testing, alteration, maintenance and repair work of varying degrees of difficultly, on electronic and electro-mechanical revenue equipment, such as Keene Vacuumatic Coin Retrieving System and all related equipment in bus garages and shops. This includes but is not limited to associated cleaning and lubrication, rewiring, and electrical troubleshooting. If assigned, the incumbent will also perform inspection work on new equipment and material at manufacturing plants, keep records and work necessary overtime and/or holidays to insure the efficient operation of equipment and the security of revenue.
“The incumbent will be required to perform overhead work and operate Aerial Buckets Trucks, Forklifts and Aerial Scissor lifts as required during all maintenance activities. The candidate cannot be afraid of heights and must have the ability to lift 50 to 60 LBS.”
Education and Experience:
Five years of satisfactory full-time journeyman level experience in maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, calibrating and repairing electrical and/or electro-mechanical devices, micro-processors, and related electronic equipment, electric motors, blowers, transformers, compressors, solenoids and electronic printed circuit boards experience in the maintenance, installation and repair of a railroad signal system and electrical equipment.
A motor vehicle driver's license valid in the State of New York is required.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of MTA/NYC Transit Rules and Regulations.
