Compensation
Associate Transit Management Analyst: $81,994 - $106,164
Assistant Transit Management Analyst Level II: $72,534 - $80,784
Assistant Transit Management Analyst Level I: $62,471 - $73,956
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for a high volume of timekeeping tasks including but not limited to reviewing confidential documents, data entry along with updating employee records and processing employee pay and pay adjustments, creating/updating spreadsheets, scanning and filing paperwork, closing and releasing weekly payroll, sorting and distributing paychecks, responding to correspondence from employees, union representatives, Human Resources, Labor Relations and/or other inter-agency personnel, conducting audits and assisting with special assignments and projects as needed. The selected candidate will also be responsible for interacting face-to-face with NYCT Department of Subways employees.
The candidate will perform analytical functions which include researching and analyzing data relating to operational procedures and administrative systems. Will manage the status of projects, and coordinate with executives across the agency to provide updates and timely submission of information utliizing charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports.
Develop and recommend procedural or process improvements.
Education and Experience:
Assistant Transit Management Analyst
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "2"
below; and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "2"
below.
2. A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or
Associate Transit Management Analyst:
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "2"
below; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "2"
below. One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry.
2.A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or
