Salary Range: $136,383 – $196,050 (Executive 1252 hay points)
Responsibilities
This position will assist a General Manager in managing and coordinating all Transportation and Maintenance operations or Road operations in one of the operating divisions of the Buses. In the absence of the General Manager, will serve as General Manager. Specific duties and responsibilities may include, but may not be limited to the following:
Develops and implements policies and procedures within the division and ensures compliance with Surface Transit and Transit Authority policies.
Provides executive direction to the Assistant General Managers and other division management on operating and administrative matters.
As directed by the General Manager, directs and coordinates Maintenance and Transportation operations in a borough.
Provides guidance and supervision to division staff in defining operations objectives, development and implementation of the budget and identification and resolution of labor issues.
Acts as liaison with TA and MTA officials, governmental authorities, public officials and union officials on any and all issues relevant to borough operations.
Serves as Executive Director for Special Projects and studies relevant to borough transportation and maintenance operations, safety, capital and strategic planning.
Education and Experience
1.Baccalaureate degree in Transportation Management, Business & Public Administration, or a related field and twelve (12) years of related experience, at least eight (8) years of which have been at a managerial/supervisory capacity; or
2. A satisfactory equivalent of combined education and experience requirements
