Summary
The MTA Construction and Development department is seeking a Director, Program (Corporate Controls) to facilitate the implementation of the Digital Strategy Roadmap. This role will be in the Corporate Controls Group within the C&D's President's Office.
Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for program management activities that ensure the successful implementation of the proposed Digital Strategy Roadmap.
This position will comprise multiple business-driven technology projects across all functions of the C&D Capital Program, including Planning, Development, Delivery, Contracts, and Operations.
The Director will monitor project status, mitigate risk, and resolves project issues, consulting with and providing recommendations to senior management.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.
Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of related experience
Must have a minimum of five (5) years in a construction program/program management or supervisory role in a large, multi-faceted organization.
Competencies:
Licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect desirable.
Strong knowledge of Agile technology implementation methods is a must.
PMP and CCM Certifications are preferred.
Knowledge of a large Capital Program life cycle is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders at all internal organizational levels.
Demonstrated ability to work in a high-profile, high-pressure environment effectively.
Must have focus and ability to deliver results, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
Must be a proven leader as a change agent and creative/innovative thinker with the ability to align business goals with solutions to drive process improvements.
Must possess excellent team building, listening, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
Proficient computer skills (i.e., Windows environment, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.) and strong business administrative skills (i.e., presentations, report and letter writing, time management, etc.).
