Compensation:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $62,471-$73,956

Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $72,534-$80,784

Associate Transit Management Analyst: $81,994-$106,164

Responsibilities: 

The Analyst will be responsible for supporting the EAM Program as the primary technical resource for data analysis, data development, data management, maintain continuity for each of the divisions utilizing EAM. Quality Control, testing, software development, cartography, data, and supporting the company-wide Enterprise Asset Management effort.

Education and Experience:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I-II:
  1. A master’s degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, accounting, transportation planning or urban planning and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, maps, drawings and technical reports; or
  2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, accounting, or urban planning and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the areas described in “1” above.
Associate Transit Management Analyst:
  1. A master’s degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, accounting, transportation planning or urban planning and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, maps, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or
  2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed above and three (3) years of fulltime related experience, of which one (1) year must have been in the transportation industry.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong problem solving, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, process and detail oriented.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and coordinate multiple simultaneous high priority efforts.
  • Proven ability to work with project managers to manage resources across projects understanding dependencies, competing priorities and deliverables.
  • Knowledge of HxGN, Jira, Confluence, Power Bi Development, Hp ALM and Quality Center.
  • Support Integration of ESRI GIS environments and HxGN EAM.
  • Experience writing technical specifications, use cases and design documentation.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements and software design into robust test cases as well as develop metadata as needed.
  • Experience with webservice, API testing and troubleshooting issues like interpreting stack traces, verifying data in logs, manipulating data, thinking outside the box to recreate issues, etc.
  • Experience with Linear Referencing Systems (LRS) and/or Esri's Roads and Highways
  • Proficiency in GIS Fundamentals including JavaScript for GIS: ArcGIS JS API 3.x and JS API 4.x
  • Prepare a variety of GIS maps as needed using GIS software for internal and external users.
  • Develop GIS data (points, polylines, and polygons) with attribute entries in ArcGIS software, including:
  1. Geo-referencing existing scanned PDF maps and diagrams.
  2. Digitizing and geocoding data based on most recent Ortho-imagery.
  3. Performing data conversion from As-Built CAD files to GIS.
  4. Produce GIS shapes by using tabular data.
  • Compile information for GIS data collected.
  • Solid experience defining and documenting strategies for Integration, System and Performance testing.
  • Testing experience with web-based and mobile applications.
  • Ability to read and understand basic software code, SQL.

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MaBSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
