Compensation:
Associate Transit Management Analyst: $86,565 - $112,083
Assistant Transit Management Analyst Level II: $76,577 - $85,288
Assistant Transit Management Analyst Level I: $65,954 - $78,079
Responsibilities:
The Process Improvement/System Support team assists the various units within Subways Administration to develop consistent, efficient and effective administrative processes within contractual requirements. The team also assists with providing system support for Subways' user departments, and with identifying system enhancements to improve business processes.
Under direction, with latitude for independent action and decision-making, the incumbent will be responsible for documenting current business process state in narratives and flow charts, and identifying streamlining opportunities to enhance the efficiency/effectiveness of business processes. The incumbent will support the implementation of new processes, monitor work plan tasks and assist with implementing key work plan deliverables. In addition, the candidate will assist with evaluating business needs, documenting business requirements for system enhancements and supporting change management efforts for new/enhanced technology initiatives. The candidate will identify key performance indicators, and analyze raw data to monitor project success measures.
Associate Transit Management Analyst
1. A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two (2) years of full time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or
2. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed above and three (3) years of full-time related experience, of which one (1) year must have been in the transportation industry; or
Assistant Transit Management Analyst: I - II.
1. A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or
2. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in ‘1’ above; and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in ‘1’ above.
Note: A master’s degree may be substituted for one year of experience as described herein

All appointments, with the exception of Department of Subways employees on MaBSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
