Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of network elements such as,
Nortel/Cisco Switches, Servers, Workstations, Net Guardians, Storage Devices/Recorders, CCTV IP/Analog cameras, etc. More specifically assist with reviewing, downloading, and providing audio/video files to internal and external entities as well as assist with the deployment and troubleshooting of computer equipment, mobile devices and desk phones. The incumbent will be responsible for setting up new Users with access to LAN, Email, Printer, Internet, Home Folder, Shared Folders, and different standard/proprietary software applications, as well as visit remote facilities, and provide technical support to end-users, perform Security System administration and system upgrade, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks. In addition, the candidate will assist with flat-file database system development and perform weekly update /maintenance and assist with developing and maintaining documentations (forms, training manual, etc.). Perform diagnostics, including visual inspection of the head-end equipment cabinets and document hardware maintenance requirement in the “Daily System Maintenance Log”. Candidate will also assist with IT equipment life cycle / inventory management, and review project documentations, coordinate with the contractor, and participate in various testing process such as UAT, FAT, SAT, SIT, etc.
Compensation
Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $62.471 (min) - $ 73,956 (max)
Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $72,534 (min) - $80,784 (max)
Associate Transit Management Analyst: $81,994 (min) - $106,164 (max)
Education/Experience Assistant Transit Management Analyst I-II:
1. A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or
2. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above.
Associate Transit Management Analyst:
1. A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of this experience must have been in the mass transportation industry; or
2. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One year of this experience must have been in the mass transportation industry.
Other Information As an employee of MTA-NYC Transit, you may be required to complete an annual financial disclosure statement with the State of New York, if your position earns more than $105,472 (this figure is subject to change) per year or if the position is designated as a policy maker.
